An introduction to cool materials and the urban heat island effect, developed for the Indian market by USAID and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) through the Energy Conservation and Commercialization Project Phase 3 (ECO-3).  The document includes a case study of an air-conditioned commercial building in Hyderabad implemented by Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) and the International Institute of Information Technology in Hyderabad (IIIT-H).
